After
creating a “missing” 1971 card for Jim Hutto a while back, I come back
with a “not so missing” 1976 card for the former player after his
second, and last taste of big league action:
Hutto didn’t play at the Big League level after coming up with the
Philadelphia Phillies in 1970 until he appeared in five games for the
Baltimore Orioles in 1975, going 0-for-5 at the plate while picking up
catching duties.
After another year in the Minor Leagues, he’d call it a career,
finishing his MLB tenure with a .175 average with 17 hits in 97 at-bats
over 61 games.
