Time
to go and give the elite player of 1975 his “In Action” card, the “Big
Red Machine” spark-plug Joe Morgan, who was at the top of his game on his
way to two straight Most Valuable Player Awards:
Morgan was a beast in the mid-70’s, racking up the hits, runs, runs
batted in and steals, getting on base any way he could to help lead the
Cincinnati charge to consecutive World Championships.
When you’re on a squad that also has the likes of Johnny Bench, Pete
Rose, Tony Perez and George Foster, and YOU come out on top, you know
you’re doing ok!
“Little Joe”!
