Here’s
another player with an ever so brief Major League career, former New
York Met shortstop Brian Ostrosser, and a “Not So Missing” 1974 card:
Ostrosser’s entire Major League career spanned four games for the
“Amazin’s” during their “You Gotta Believe” season that saw them reach
the World Series, eventually losing to the dynasty of the time, the
Oakland A’s.
He went 0-5 in his time at the plate, with two strikeouts, while playing flawless shortstop.
The following season he’d split time playing for the Mets and Cleveland
Indians minor league system, where he would wrap up his pro career after
1975.
